Sterimar have re launched their range of sea water nasal sprays, this has resulted in several of their existing products being renamed, as shown in the table below.

At the time of writing this tariff tip the product names included in the Drug Tariff and included in the Dictionary of Medicines and Devices have not been updated.
The complete range of Sterimar products are classed as appliances and consequently need to be listed in the Drug Tariff according to the correct product name. Products that are renamed MUST have their tariff entry updated to reflect the name change to enable supply against an NHS prescription.
The pricing authority have advised Numark Information Services that any members who receive a prescription for a Sterimar product should contact NHSBSA (telephone - 0300 330 1349) for advice on whether the product can be supplied against an NHS prescription and whether they will be accurately reimbursed.
