Q: Can I return disallowed scripts for Sodium Chloride 5% eye drops preservative free 10ml and Hypromellose 0.3% eye drops pf 10ml?

A: Yes, they must be returned in your next prescription bundle as long as they meet the following guide lines

  • Price per pack less any discounts/rebates e.g. £100 per pack of 10ml
  • Special Manufacturer’s or Importer’s MHRA licence number
  • Batch Number of the product
  • Specials Procurement Fee (SP)

The PSNC website state ‘Contractors may have received returned disallowed prescriptions from the NHSBSA for Sodium chloride 5% eye drops preservative free 10ml and Hypromellose 0.3% eye drops preservative free 10ml where they have endorsed the prescription as an unlicensed medicine.
