SSP080 Estradot® 75 Microgram Patch
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a substitution Serious Shortage Protocol (SSP) for Estradot® 75 microgram patch in response to a significant ongoing supply disruption.
This SSP will enable community pharmacists in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to supply patients with a different product as per the document below.
It allows either Estraderm® or Evorel® 75 microgram patches to be supplied against prescriptions for Estradot® 75 microgram patches. The pharmacist must exercise their professional judgement to ensure the alternative product is suitable for the patient.
SSP080 for Estradot® 75 microgram patch will be in operation from Thursday 19th December 2025 until Sunday 19th January 2025.
Please note that the SSP may be amended or revoked at any time, so contractors must ensure that the SSP is still valid before each supply.
