Pharmacy Professionals Revalidation Requirements for 2021
The GPhC has decided to continue the approach taken for last year’s revalidation requirements to take into account the continuing pressures placed on the profession by the pandemic.
Any pharmacy professional due to renew their registration on or before 30th November 2021 and whose registration expires on or before 31st January 2022 will only be required to submit a reflective account, along with making the required declarations and paying the fee. They will not need to submit a peer discussion record or any planned or unplanned CPD records.
When completing the reflective account pharmacy professionals should include reflection on the following three standards:
- standard 3 - pharmacy professionals must communicate effectively
- standard 6 - pharmacy professionals must behave professionally
- standard 9 - pharmacy professionals must demonstrate leadership
The GPhC would like to encourage this reflection to include experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, although this is not essential.
The GPhC’s aim is to resume full revalidation requirements for pharmacy professionals with registration renewal dates from 1st December 2021 onwards.
