COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements When Providing Care Home Services

New guidance has been published by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) on new regulations that make COVID-19 vaccination a requirement for anyone working or deployed in care homes.

The regulations for staff to be fully vaccinated come into force from 11th November 2021, meaning that a first dose of the vaccine must be received by 16th September 2021 to ensure that workers are fully vaccinated by this time.

The regulations will apply to community pharmacy contactors who are providing services to care homes and includes delivering medicines to the home.
