New SSP for Lipitor® 20mg chewable tablets issued
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a Serious Shortage Protocol for Atorvastatin (Lipitor®) 20mg chewable tablets in response to a significant ongoing supply disruption.
SSP039 for Lipitor 20mg chewable tablets will be in operation from Wednesday 23rd November 2022 until Friday 23rd December 2022.
It allows either Atorvastatin 20mg tablets or Atorvastatin 20mg/5ml suspension sugar free to be supplied against prescriptions for Lipitor® 20mg chewable tablets.
