Mandatory Workforce Survey Opens (England)
The 2023 Community Pharmacy Workforce Survey opened on 23rd October 2023. Its completion has been made a mandatory requirement of the Terms of Service from 1st October 2022.
All pharmacy contractors are required to submit data via the survey during an eight-week submission period which closes on 17th December 2023.
The survey is very similar to previous surveys, with questions about the number and full-time equivalent (FTE) number of ten different types of staff (including pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, dispensing assistants, medicines counter assistants and delivery drivers). The survey will also ask about any trainees in the pharmacy.

Pharmacy contractors should have been contacted via email by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) with a link to complete the survey online. The survey can also be accessed here.
Contractors who do not return the survey will receive reminder emails from the NHSBSA to complete it before the closing date.
