Webinar Series to Support English Pharmacy First Service
We have received confirmation from CPE that the new Pharmacy First service will commence 31st January 2024.
CPE have today provided a list of webinar dates and booking links for pharmacies to attend in preparation for the new Pharmacy First service, and understand changes to the Contraception and Hypertension Case-Finding services. You can book onto these via the links below:
Tuesday 5th December 2023 from 7-8:30pm: Pharmacy Contraception Service: initiating contraception
Wednesday 13th December 2023 from 7-8:30pm: Pharmacy First service – getting to know the service
Wednesday 3rd January 2024 from 7-8:30pm: Hypertension Case-finding Service
Wednesday 10th January 2024 from 7-8:30pm: Pharmacy Contraception Service: getting going with the service
Monday 15th January 2024 from 7-8:30pm: Pharmacy First service – getting ready for launch
Under the agreement, a new Pharmacy First service, which includes providing advice and NHS-funded treatment, where appropriate, for seven common conditions will be launched on 31st January 2024 (subject to the required IT systems being in place) as an Advanced Service.
Consultations can be provided to patients presenting to the pharmacy as well as those referred by NHS 111, GPs and others. The service will also incorporate the existing Community Pharmacy Consultation service.
