MYS – How to check for failed claims
PharmOutcomes has a new functionality to check both:
- Number of MYS claims submitted within each month for the following NHS advanced services:
- Pharmacy First
- Hypertension
- Contraception
- Flu/COVID
- Identify any ‘Failed’ claims and the actions that can be taken to rectify.
Guidance has been developed to help support this.
Note the update 23rd January 2025: Claim period extended for four Advanced services - Community Pharmacy England.
Pharmacy contractors now have twelve months (from the date by which the claim should have been submitted) to claim payment if failed due to an IT error. If required NHSBSA may request a copy of the cascade reference no. as evidence of the IT issue to confirm it was outside of the control of the pharmacy owner and delayed the claim submission.
