Drum roll please… Numark reveals its 6,000th member! Last month, Numark proudly announced that it had reached an incredible milestone 6,000 community pharmacy members across the UK.
Now, we’re delighted to reveal who took the 6,000th spot and the winner of a free pharmacy refresh to mark the occasion. Congratulations to Monkspath Pharmacy, owned by pharmacist Steven Pal.
Having only completed the purchase of Monkspath Pharmacy in October this year, Steven joined Numark after hearing glowing recommendations from fellow independent pharmacists. Becoming the 6,000th member came as a welcome surprise and the refurbishment prize is already helping him bring his vision for the pharmacy to life.
“Older pharmacy branches can often feel a little run down. As a first-time buyer, this gives me the chance to breathe new life into the pharmacy. I had always planned to do a re-fit, but I didn’t expect to be able to for another four or five years I never imagined doing this in my first year.”
The refresh will allow Steven to add more consultation rooms and expand his clinical services, including private independent prescribing, HRT and TRT, minor illness clinics, weight management, travel health and enhanced NHS services.
“It allows us to truly become a health hub for our community, not just a dispensary and shop,” he explains.
With nearly a decade of experience as a pharmacist, Steven understands how important private consultation space is for patient care. Reflecting on his early career, he recalls a consultation that led to a life-changing diagnosis for a patient an experience that shaped his commitment to patient-first care.
Looking ahead, Steven is eager to combine modern technology with a personal touch to strengthen his pharmacy’s reach and impact.
“We need to bring pharmacy into the modern era automation, SEO, and social media are key. If we use them properly, we can reach more people, offer a smoother experience, and ensure pharmacy stays at the heart of patient care.”
