EMIS approved for EPS development work in Wales
Pharmacies in Wales are gearing up for a new era of efficiency following the recent national approval of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
In light of this development, we are pleased to announce that EMIS, providers of our PMR system Numark Assist Connect, have been chosen as a technology partner to assist Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) in implementing EPS. The team are collaborating closely with the DHCW team to tailor Numark Assist Connect, powered by ProScript, to meet project requirements, with live testing set to begin this summer.
The rollout of EPS across Wales is a significant step in modernising healthcare. Patients will soon be able to pick up prescriptions from their chosen pharmacy without needing a paper script, ensuring a safer and more efficient dispensing process.
Suzy Foster, CEO of EMIS, commented, “We’re thrilled to be working with Digital Health and Care Wales, developing our market-leading ProScript Connect solution to support the delivery of EPS across the country.”
At Numark, we will be developing tools to assist with the roll out in the coming months.
